SKYDEX set for Turkish exhibition

CENTENNIAL, Colo., April 29 (UPI) -- Skydex Technologies of Colorado is displaying its blast mitigation products at an exposition in Turkey in May as it continues to extend its global reach.

"Skydex is extending its international selling arm to all 'friendly' armed forces around the world," said Skydex President and Chief Executive Officer Mike Buchen.

"At Skydex we pride ourselves on our patriotism but the U.S. has many allies whose soldiers fight side by side with ours. Those soldiers deserve the same level of protection and enhancements to survivability as our own."

Skydex is a developer of impact mitigation, blast-limiting and vibration attenuation solutions. It supplies protection products to the U.S. military as well the armed forces of Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Canada, Afghanistan, Israel, New Zealand, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates.

Skydex first entered military markets outside the United States in 2008. This year, the company is projecting foreign market sales of $30 million from its vehicle decking, body protection systems, and marine and aviation products.

The products will be on display at the 10th International Defense Industry Fair in Turkey May 10-13. IDEF is considered the most significant Eurasian military trade show.
