IMBD To BE Featured AT Seawork In Southhampton, UK

(Southampton, UK) - SKYDEX’s IMBD – Impact Mitigating Boat Decking – launches into the UK for commercial and military RIBs as well as other high speed craft at the SEAWORK show in Southampton, England.

IMBD utilizes the patented SKYDEX system to reduce the negative effects of impact and vibration that can be experienced on the water. Engineered with twin opposing hemispheres bearing upon each other to create a “spring-like” reaction, the SKYDEX technology with a specialized cross-hatch top surface, make IMBD the ideal solution for a stable and protective deck. With a simple installation process, IMBD can be fitted on new-build and retro-fit projects.

With the increasing relevance of the EU Vibration Directive for High Speed Craft Operators, a European based company, Shock Mitigation, has been investigating solutions for professional boat operators that need to reduce injury, improve comfort and reduce the risk of damaging litigation.

John Haynes of Shock Mitigation Solutions, along with Trevor Dobbins of Human Science Engineering and Johan Ullman of Ullman suspension seats, are presenting an overview of the developments in deck cushioning as a shock mitigation solution.
Stand personnel at SEAWORK include Operations Director John Haynes, Technical Manager Andrew Rushwork plus Sales coordinators Paul Barrow and Toby White.
