Athletics
SKYDEX athletic products are designed to absorb a greater impact in less space than traditional foams. The unmatched durability of SKYDEX means that products retain their shape and characteristics better than foam, gel and other impact absorbers. It's excellent airflow capabilities have been developed to meet the strict standards of several athletic purposes where life-saving protection is needed.
 

Helmets
SKYDEX has eliminated the need for bulky foam found in traditional protective helmets. Using the dual-hemisphere technology, SKYDEX lined helmets are better fitting, lighter and more impact protective.

Footwear
SKYDEX evolved from the idea of creating superior cushioning and shock absorption in sneakers. Today, SKYDEX utilizes several variables to maintain high performance levels for several types of footwear.

Running Shoes. SKYDEX cushioning has supported Pearl Izumi's successful launch into the performance running shoe market. Athletic Shoes. Many of the Nike Tuned Air athletic shoes rely on SKYDEX, to improve durability and performance. Riding Boots. Ariat Western and English boots feature SKYDEX parts to provide added heel and insole cushioning. Snowboard Boots. The Burton ION boot features SKYDEX Technology that maintains cushion and impact performance at temperatures as low as -30 F. Heel Cups and Insoles. SKYDEX developed heel cups that provide extra comfort and impact absorption and fit in virtually any shoe.

Padding
SKYDEX has engineered padding to replace traditional bulky foam found in stadiums, arenas and gyms across the country. SKYDEX pads are more durable and won't wear down or crack as a result of weather conditions.

• Crash Padding.
  Promats, the leader in the stadium field wall padding came to SKYDEX to create a lighter and more protective product for stadiums nationwide. Promats pads with SKYDEX technology are more durable and marketable than traditional foam walls.

• Pole Vault Box.
  SKYDEX Smarter Cushioning technology has been integrated into a vault plant box to create the Soft Box for Gill Athletics. A revolutionary box, it performs like a standard steel box, but has hidden SKYDEX cushioning to provide maximum protection for wayward jumps, eliminating much of the injury risk.
