What does SKYDEX replace
Primarily, SKYDEX has been used for impact attenuation, cushioning and structural purposes replacing many foam, gel and honeycomb products. Additionally, the SKYDEX engineers have made considerable advances creating sound and vibration reduction technology.

To create shock and impact attenuation technologies, SKYDEX features juxtaposed twin-hemispheres which act like a sheet of highly durable springs, absorbing more shock in less space than other materials.

SKYDEX uses opposing square geometries with radiused corners that provide a near linear force deflection curve for extra comfort and weight distribution.

Our structural products use an inter-digitated hemisphere design to provide the optimal balance of flex, strength-to-weight ratios and compression.
