SKYDEX Variables
SKYDEX differs from other products on the market because of its versatility. Unlike foam which only has a few performance levels, SKYDEX has a number of variables applicable to a broad range of over a wide variety of markets. From cushioning and impact protection, to sound and vibration reduction, SKYDEX's solutions-oriented production is matched to your product specifications. The variables are:

• Resin
  There are several types of resin that can form the base of your product. The resin can be infused with additives such as scent, color and flame retardant material. Resin type determines the elastomerics, rigidity, hardness and tensile strength of the final product.
   
   
• Hemisphere geometry
  The size and height of the hemisphere is one determinate of how stiff your final product will be. Additionally, the wall thickness will affect whether your product is suitable for cushioning, structural or impact attenuation.
   
   
• Hemisphere zoning
  The arrangement of different size hemispheres within a part will determine the final structure of a product. Part of SKYDEX's versatility is its limitless application to any size or shape.
